Equipment and Scope of Production

BÖHLER Schmiedetechnik produces high quality parts for aerospace applications, power generation and other high tech industries and supplies more than 200 technologically advanced customers world wide.

Each work piece requires its own unique forging line utilizing specifically designed forging tooling.

Together with our production experts, our engineers determine the perfect equipment usage depending on parts size, weight and complexity.

The major forging equipment at Bohler consists of two different technologies, supporting the product range from an input weight of 1 kg to more than 1000 kg:  
  • Two large screw presses with press forces of 31,500 tons and
    35,500 tons
  • Various open and closed die forging hammers in various energy ranges








BÖHLER Schmiedetechnik's machine shop is used for the in-house manufacturing of our tools as well as for the pre-machining and final machining of aerospace structural parts, turbine blades and special  forgings.

State-of-the-art turning lathes are used for the machining of engine discs to sonic shape.


Quality is of the highest importance within Böhler Schmiedetechnik. Product quality is continuously monitored during the whole process as well as in the final inspection before packaging and shipping the parts.
